Record of the Meeting

1. ASNT Shanghai section meeting give Testing Personnel Employer Certification (EBC) program. John Kinsey -- Chairman of ASNT CMC made a statement about the EBC program, which enabled participants to learn more about the EBC program and the latest ASNT Level 3 exam information.


2. The development of international non-destructive testing personnel certification in China. Chairman of ASNT Shanghai section,Executive Director of ChSNDT-- Ji Jingyuan gave a general overview of personnel certification, and expressed the history and current status of the development of the international non-destructive testing personnel certification by the China Non-Destructive Testing Society and provided insights and new ideas for future development.


3. Comparative analysis of ultrasonic testing methods for spot welding quality of automobile bodies. Dr. Xiang Yong conducted a comparative analysis of three ultrasonic testing methods, showing the advantages of the handheld portable ultrasonic C-scanning system compared to other scanning methods, highlighting the advantages of the handheld portable ultrasonic C-scan system.

 

4. The latest developments in electromagnetic detection technology. Researcher Mr.Hu Bin gave the participants the latest electromagnetic technology information through the analysis and explanation of the technology, so that the participants can better understand the electromagnetic detection technology.

 

5. Ultrasonic high-strength bolt stress measurement Researcher Mr. Zhou Lijun demonstrated a new method for measuring the axial stress of bolts quickly and effectively through the combination of transverse and longitudinal waves. In this way, the influence of the change in bolt length caused by temperature and elastic deformation can be eliminated during the measurement process, and the axial stress value of the plug can also be measured if the axial length of the bolt is unknown.

 

6. Basic research on ultrasonic testing technology for array of titanium alloy additive manufacturing components. Prof. Zhou Zhenggan combined with the additive to manufacture the acoustic characteristics of titanium alloy components, and proposed the array ultrasonic detection correction algorithm and the all-focus imaging method to effectively realize the high-precision detection and characterization of the internal defects of the titanium alloy components. It is of great significance for nondestructive testing.

7. China's high-energy X-ray non-destructive testing technology and its development. Professor Xiao Yongshun explained the high-energy X-ray non-destructive testing technology in China, which enabled the participants to have a new understanding of this testing technology.

8. Industry 4.0: A summary of phased array technology based on Internet properties. It is particularly important for industry to enter a new era and to integrate it with the Internet. Mr.Anand --Senior Product Technology Manager put forward his own views and insights, so that the participants can further understand the phased array technology of Internet attributes.


Summary of the meeting

This meeting passed the analysis of the development and application of the best non-destructive testing technology by the university students, so that the participants have a new understanding of the new non-destructive testing technology. And proposed a new understanding of non-destructive testing personnel certification, making it easier to carry out non-destructive testing personnel certification work.
