The China Society of Mechanical Engineering Non-destructive Testing Organized the 5th Working Meeting of the First Draft of the Road Map for the Development of China's Non-destructive Testing Technology in Jiaxing City, Zhejiang Province, May 24-27, 2016. Total 18 people including vice-chairmen, vice-presidents, members of the general group, members of various professional conferences and industry experts attended this meeting. The meeting mainly reported and exchanged the final draft of the Road map for the development of China's non-destructive testing technology, and made detailed arrangements for the next step in the preparation of the work plan, which was chaired by Chairman Shen Gongtian.
1 Documentation requirements modified by the professional general assembly.
After reporting and exchange on the final draft prepared by the relevant professional conference, discuss and determine the amendments prepared by the professional conferences. 1) The format of the road map has been modified, and the professional general assembly is requested to make changes in accordance with the latest road map format, which combines the testing methods and inspection processes. 2) The professional conferences need to be edited according to the contents of the table according to their respective industries in accordance with China Non-destructive Testing 2025 Development Roadmap of the professional conferences preparing outlines and length designing the current situation of technological development at home and abroad. 3) Each group must be sure to add the references to their respective literatures. 4) Professional conferences are required to submit the latest revised literature to the Secretariat of the Society by 15 June.

The sixth working meeting was held in Baotou, Inner Mongolia, from July 20 to July 24, 2016 for the final discussion and publication.
3 Celebrate the 20th anniversary of CHSNDT Information Center.
During the meeting, Professor Tu Yaoyuan gave a detailed work report on the 20th anniversary of the founding of the Information Center of the Society as follows: The roadmap meeting was followed by a symposium on the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Society information center, and Professor Tu Yaoyuan, Director of the Information Center, reported on 20 years of work. On May 20, 1996, the Standing Committee of the Sixth Professional Congress of the Society approved Professor Tu Yaoyuan's proposal to set up the Information Center of the China Society for Non-destructive Testing. Since its establishment, the Information Center has been launched on December 8, 1998, and has been revised six times to become the main media for the Society to publish various types of information. In 2006, the Information Center edited and published the first volume, "China Non-destructive Testing Yearbook", which collected and collated major events and activities of the Society in China's non-destructive testing industry from 1949 to 2005. Since then, each Council of the Society has been established with a volume of yearbook published, the third volume of the year due to december 2015. The Information Center began publishing the "Non-destructive Testing Information Pool" in 2002, which is free of charge quarterly and has been published in 53 consecutive issues, starting with 42 issues and changing to a magazine edition. Under the favorable situation of the rapid development of information technology, the information center will develop more new information carriers to make new and greater contributions to the development of non-destructive testing in China.
