Understanding and mastering the stress state (including working stress and residual stress) of the product during the operation has become an urgent concern for designers, manufacturers and users. In order to improve the technical level of Chinese stress testing personnel and the core competitiveness of Chinese products, the training of stress testing technology, organized by the Chinese Society of NDT and undertaken by Institute of Metal Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences was held in Shenyang from November 6 to November 10.
The training adopts self-edited teaching materials, which reflect the 10 years research and application results of training unit, both theoretical and practical contents meeting the application needs of participating units. Teachers Chen Huaining and Chen Jing were mainly responsible for the theoretical training. Based on the principle of strain measurement, the theory and application characteristics of drilling strain method (GB / T 31310) and indentation strain method (GB / T 24179) are systematically introduced from the aspects of principle, error, equipment and standards. Under the guidance of two experts, Huang Chunling and Li Dongxu, each student carried out corresponding practical training.
The training has received great attention from the directors of the organizers. Tan Ruobing, deputy director of Institute of Metal Research, attended and made a speech.
