The Shanghai Section organized its March Section meeting on March 30 at No 100 Huihe Road, Shanghai, with 59 members and guests.
Section Director Xu Yongchang welcomed everyone in attendance and give a brief speech on how to recruit more member. Section Chair John Kinsey introduce the Section functional and encourage member to prepare a lecture and participate section’s operation. Duan Kaiyang had a technical presentation “Wrong material in pressure pipe during radiographic interpretation”, Duan Kaiyang exchange of this experience of on how to interpretation the pipe films and encourage members to keep learning.
It is a pleasure to invite Arny Bereson, executive director of ASNT and Terry Clausing, Chair of ASNT, to attend Shanghai Section meeting, First of all, Xu Yongchang received ASNT Shanghai Section Charter from Arny Bereson, Arny Bereson along with a speech of “current state of ASNT”. Later on, Terry gives a lecture of “future of ASNT‘s certification and examination”, both Bereson and Clausing opened up for questions at the end of their presentation, many of members had questions about renew their certificates and also exchange ideas that they thought ASNT should look into. Shanghai Section appreciates Berson and Terry’s time.
